Polymeric Floor & Roof Coatings

Chemically Resistant Flooring Systems

High Performance Flooring Group

Durapoxy 1000 HP

A Novalac topcoat type polymer system with superior resistance to a wide range of corrosive chemicals, in many submersible conditions, for interior as well as exterior applications.

Acidguard

The ultimate acid resistant formulation for interior and exterior containment areas, even where the exposure is at elevated temperatures.

Solventguard

Formulated for continuous exposure to strong solvents in extremely aggressive environments.

Wallguard Systems

Coating systems for walls or ceilings, which produce a tile like finish, available in several formulations, which are companion products to Durapoxy VG, Acidguard, and Solvent guard.

Other High Performance Products

Electroguard SD/CD

Durable floor systems available with electrically conductive and static dissipating capabilities, plus superior chemical resistance.

Duraflex M

A flexible membrane system, which can be, applied under one of the Polymeric Solutions flooring or coating systems to provide additional stability and flexural strength.

Thermalguard

A heat resistant polymer flooring system formulation capable of with standing elevated temperatures up to 500°F (260°C).

Freezeguard

A unique formulation designed to cure at below freezing temperatures, on interior or exterior applications.

Evaluation Factors

To achieve the longest-lasting protection against severe chemical attack, every factor of the environment must be evaluated and considered. These include the specific type (or potential combination) of chemicals introduced into a given environment, along with their percent (%) solution both in storage and /or as they may be used (diluted or blended) during processing or in the manufacturing process.

Another factor is the type of expo-sure (splash, spill, or continuous immersion) and the duration that each chemical might typically be exposed to the polymer system under normal operating or storage conditions, as well as the amount of time prior to cleanup in case of spillage or leaks. Equally important is the temperature in which the chemical is being stored and used, since many chemicals become more reactive when exposed to elevated temperatures.

Abrasion and wear conditions should also be considered, such as where the system is to be installed - with regard to fork lift traffic versus occasional foot traffic. And finally, in specific cases, the flammability or combustibility of the chemical may be critical factor in selecting and providing the proper polymer system.

Performance & Life Expectancy

Obviously, appropriate care and maintenance of the polymer system must be encouraged and exercised at all times in order to derive the maximum service life that the selected polymer system is capable of providing (Example: leaks and drips must be prevented or repaired when ever they are first detected).

Selection of the polymer system must meet or exceed all minimum environmental factors and conditions as suggested in the paragraph above. Compromising any of those factors, or choosing a polymer system based primarily on price considerations alone - could result in failure. However, the broadest range of protection can only be achieved through proper installation, by an approved applicator.
